    Fluid lost 125k FLUID and 51.9k GHO due to a key compromise. A wallet was able to claim rewards from multiple Fluid Merkle distributors using empty-proof Merkle claims, then swap funds and route ETH into Tornado Cash. Exploiter: https://t.co/7xhmZpwqE3 The timeline on Ethereum was very tight: proposer submits root, approver approves it, exploiter claims FLUID ~24 seconds after proposal. The GHO claim followed minutes later. The same wallet then swapped the claimed GHO and FLUID, bridged some Base/Arbitrum proceeds out, and later deposited ETH into Tornado Cash Router. Several hours later, an admin-style batched tx removed the old proposer/approver roles across multiple Fluid rewards contracts: https://t.co/Gx4G8uPdTg Fluid has told users that Merkle reward claiming is temporarily paused for a few days, potentially up to a week, while updates are made. They also said rewards will continue accumulating retroactively and claiming will resume once updates are complete. No communication about a key compromise

    I investigated Fluid's activity in cleaning up the Resolve depeg from March 22 that left Fluid with $21m in bad debt. I found that $8m that was supposed to come from the treasury instead came from an uncollateralized credit line through the Fluid Team Multisig. 🧵👇

    Fluid Says Resolv Exploit Led to $21M Bad Debt, Now Fully Covered DeFi liquidity protocol Fluid said the March Resolv exploit, which involved the malicious minting of about $80 million in uncollateralized USR, left Fluid with roughly $21 million in bad debt. Fluid said the attack was external and did not compromise its smart contracts or code. The remaining $19.3 million in bad debt has been fully covered, with Resolv covering about $9.7 million, Fluid’s governance treasury covering $8.2 million, and the team covering $1.5 million.     Wu reported that DeFi liquidity protocol Fluid released a post‑mortem of the Resolv event, stating that in March Resolv was attacked and about $80 million of uncollateralized USR was maliciously minted, causing Fluid to incur roughly $21 million of bad debt. Fluid said the attack occurred outside of Fluid, its smart contracts and code were not compromised; the related losses have been fully covered, with the remaining approximately $19.3 million bad debt to be borne by Resolv (~$9.7 million), Fluid’s governance treasury (~$8.2 million), and the team (~$1.5 million). As a result, Fluid will suspend FLUID buybacks and substantially reduce or cancel incentives to rebuild the treasury. Future plans include upgrading the oracle and pricing mechanisms, and launching products such as DEX v2, Solana DEX, fixed‑rate lending, LaaS, and institutional custodial collateral. https://t.co/z87wA2wKwo

    Is it okay to feel bad for those teams who are a) honest, b) actually building things, c) just good people, and wanting to buy their token with all my money left because they're just... cute? And I believe in a better future? And I want to bet on people who are kind enough? But I'm feeling bad because their tokens have been underperforming a lot, and that shows that many people do not correlate with my idea. :(
