1/ On-chain swap, most people open an aggregator, input amount, click confirm. They never compare prices.
2/ Traditional finance has a concept called best execution; brokers have a legal duty to find the market's optimal execution price for clients.
On-chain there is no such thing; whichever aggregator you use, that's the price, and you don't know how much difference there is in between.
The price quote differences between aggregators for the same trade are larger than most people think. Probably very few people manually compare quotes; it's too tiring.
3/ After watching @Sherrypeter's video, I realized this issue is already being taken seriously.
A program simultaneously checks multiple aggregators' quotes, and after price comparison automatically selects the optimal path for execution. It's not connecting to a single DEX; it's treating several aggregators as suppliers, comparing prices, and picking the cheapest one to fulfill the trade.
4/ Yes, this is the Solana address I hold: solana:DBRiDgJAMsM95moTzJs7M9LnkGErpbv9v6CUR1DXnUu5 .
In the past three months, same-chain swaps on deBridge amounted to $750 million, accounting for 40.38% of the total volume of $1.8575 billion. Same-chain transaction count exceeded 450,000, representing 53% of the total 840,000 transactions.
5/ I've held DBR for a long time; the logic when buying was simple—strong team delivery capability and solid data fundamentals.
Looking back now, it indeed hasn't stayed static with just the words "cross-chain bridge". The bridge is a starting point, not a boundary.
Bullish~!

Payments demand determinism, not probability.
Exact Output nails this. What you send is what they get, and that's the baseline for cross-chain payments to ever be production-ready.
The industry spent years talking about replacing SWIFT while failing to guarantee exact delivery.
Kind of absurd when you think about it.
Sit back and enjoy $DBR.
A few years ago, I sent someone 3000 USDC from Ethereum → Arbitrum
But they sent me a message saying the actual amount they received was $2,992
If crypto can be useful in payments, the system must be deterministic, not probabilistic.
For swaps, a few bps is a cost of doing business, but for payments, it’s a non-starter, for the entire product. Think about it:
- A treasury can’t reconcile an invoice if the exact amount doesn’t arrive
- Teams sending payroll can't ask engineers to chase a few $$ every month
- A power user moving capital to save a position from liquidation is running out of time and can’t tolerate errors
"Exact Output” is the feature that we shipped in 2024 to fix this, and it's the reason cross-chain payments on @deBridge now behave as they should. The sender specifies what they (or the recipient) receive, and the protocol handles everything in between.
The future is simple: intent → outcome
