And here’s my reasoning:

Every new payment option pulls in people who never held $TON, or even USDT on TON. Someone sitting on USDC on Base can now spend inside the @Telegram’s economy without touching a new wallet. That’s a huge pool of users with basically zero friction to get started.

The part most people miss, and it’s actually bigger than you think: Telegram is now collecting stablecoins directly instead of selling $TON to cover its dollar costs. Durov has said before that they sell the surplus TON to long-term investors, with lockups, to keep Telegram’s share around 10% and avoid too much concentration.
