There are two distinct, multi‑trillion‑dollar markets that are still widely conflated. "Payment stablecoins" like $frxUSD or Agora’s $AUSD are meant to clear payments and sit inside GENIUS‑compliant rails. "Yield products" like @CapApp's Cap USD are dollar‑denominated assets built to pay yield, useful, but fundamentally not the same thing.

While Sam adds: you can’t do both in one token by definition.

I think that makes it clear, protocols that recognize this fork early are the ones truly positioning for the trillions ahead, not the ones diluting themselves by trying to be every type of “dollar” at once.

The interesting shift here is that $frxUSD is not only providing liquidity, but also becoming part of the economy design itself.

As protocols move from token launches to economy launches, the settlement layer becomes increasingly important.
