    When thinking about which perp token to invest in, perp tokens with excessively large fundraising are scary for long‑term investment. VC holds too many tokens. We've already experienced this selling‑pressure fear on L1. That means there is only about a year from TGE; after that, selling will be relentless. LIT and VAR have high caps. HYPE is market‑buy, so its cap is low. Therefore, only ASTER remains.

    I think long‑term investing in the surviving perp tokens, starting around four years after TGE when the VC distribution has completely finished, is quite interesting.

    $LIT There are always going to be times when beta overtakes the leader for short durations. Lighter has a pretty good case imo; it makes a ton of $, is the clear #2 perp dex (sometimes it can be hard to distinguish #2 beta), and has a great team. Hype will continue being the leader for a long long time imo but that doesn't mean that LIT can't also grow. The 1 scary thing is if hyperliquid starts to pull back, what happens then? Typically beta dies faster than the leader. With that said, I still think there's a chance for a catch up trade here. Don't have a bag but just watching.
