UPDATE: Former NBA champion @TThompson has sued @wmchain over a $2M crypto endorsement deal.

Thompson alleges the company wrongly terminated the agreement after claiming it overpaid him in $WMTX tokens and continued using his name and likeness without authorization.

He is seeking damages and an order to stop further use of his identity.

According to Front Office Sports, former NBA player Tristan Thompson has sued the UK's World Mobile Group, alleging that the latter prematurely terminated the WMTX token brand ambassador agreement worth up to $2 million and continued to use his name, likeness, and image without authorization after termination. Thompson states that the original agreement provided him with up to $1 million in WMTX tokens per year over two years, and he promoted the token. World Mobile subsequently terminated the agreement citing the failure to return over-issued tokens and the sale of WMTX tokens. The allegations are pending court review.
