Venus BTC (vBTC)

VerifiedX Network releases vBTC v2 with Frost-MPC threshold signing and is now live on Base as a non-synthetic canonical asset under the ticker vBTC.b and has been listed on Fireblocks with self-custody support. VerifiedX said vBTC.b is a fully collateralized, non-synthetic Bitcoin asset that supports 1:1 BTC backing, automated minting and burning, and direct redemption from Base to native Bitcoin through its VFX Lockbox and Proof Publisher systems without the need for any third party attestation. VerifiedX said vBTC.b is now compatible with the EVM ecosystem and use cases including lending, liquidity pools, institutional vaults, payments and on-chain settlement.

VerifiedX announced the release of Prism, a native privacy layer that adds encrypted balances and confidential transfers to its network, supporting private transactions for vBTC (described as a non-synthetic fully collateralized native BTC) and the native token VFX. Prism features private addresses, encrypted balances, shielded-to-shielded transfers, toggling between transparent and private states, and selective disclosure via viewing keys, aiming to keep counterparties, amounts, and activity patterns private while preserving onchain verifiability and auditability.
