Current AI funding rounds genuinely remind me of crypto during the last cycle

Back then, these projects used to make HEADLINES for massive raises and were all thought to dominate the next 4-5 years:

▸ Berachain
▸ Celestia
▸ Starknet
▸ zkSync

…and a bunch of others.

VCs were literally fighting and FOMOing to get into these rounds even at billion dollar valuations.

Now most are either ghost chains, running incentive farms, or slowly bleeding relevance.

Makes you wonder how many of today’s AI darlings actually survive the next 5 years outside of the few obvious winners.

Berachain is the greatest example of why inviting everyone with a pulse to your party doesn’t make it a cool party
