$ZEC might be setting up one of the most OVERLOOKED breakout structures in crypto Everyone is watching the recent rally I’m watching the trendline Since the cycle low, $ZEC has respected the same rising support multiple times Every major pullback has been bought higher than the previous one creating a clear sequence of higher lows That’s not random price action That’s accumulation Now zoom out The next major obstacle sits near the previous all-time high region around $750 A level that rejected price during the last cycle A level that most traders will likely sell into A level that hasn’t been tested in years The interesting part? Price is approaching that resistance while standing on the strongest structure it’s had in a long time Three successful support defenses Higher lows across the entire trend Momentum returning If bulls can reclaim the ATH zone around $750, the chart enters price discovery territory And when an asset spends years building a base before attacking historical highs the move that follows is often much larger than most expect The market is focused on where $ZEC has already gone The real opportunity is what happens if $750 finally breaks That’s when the conversation shifts from resistance… to discovery

ZEC's technical structure is strong; if it breaks above the $750 all-time high, it could rally sharply to $1,500.

BREAKING: Garrett Jin just closed his $ZEC short for an $11.24M profit. He was short into the 30% crash that followed the counterfeit-bug disclosure. https://t.co/35XTJcddWQ

I think I'm one of those people who thought it was that easy to find a bug in @Zcash using AI, and there’s nothing complicated about it 😁\nhttps://t.co/fhLGV0V4R8

🚨 When the market sells out of fear. ZEC added about $1 billion to its market cap in just 24 hours after the massive crash. In crypto, sometimes the most costly decision is to panic‑sell. https://t.co/qHxVVZe8uC

🚨 WHAT'S HAPPENING WITH ZCASH? Privacy‑focused cryptocurrency $ZEC has lost almost 50% of its value in the last 24 hours, wiping roughly $5 billion from its market cap. The reason is quite unusual: A study using Claude AI identified a critical security flaw that could theoretically allow unlimited ZEC minting. Even more striking, the flaw is said to have existed in the system since May 2022 and went unnoticed for about four years. The vulnerability was patched on June 2. But the real issue is this: Because of Zcash’s privacy architecture, it cannot be definitively proven whether the flaw was ever exploited to create counterfeit ZEC in the past. While anyone can audit the total supply on Bitcoin, doing so on Zcash is far more difficult due to its privacy design. The team says no fake minting has occurred. However, the market is asking: “what if it did happen?” That’s why #ZEC is facing strong selling pressure today.

in Q4 2025 the market dropped across the board. all six crypto sectors posted negative returns. the only group that held up better than everyone else was privacy assets. Grayscale's report spells it out, privacy related assets, especially Zcash, outperformed the rest of the market over the quarter. theres a reason behind it. in the words of Quantum Economics founder Mati Greenspan, transparency got overused as a control layer, and once everything became traceable, privacy shifted from philosophy to utility. ppl dont see privacy as some ideological flex anymore. its a real need now why now? bcz the way public blockchains work has basically become the problem. SEC Chair Paul Atkins keeps warning that public blockchains risk turning into a "powerful financial surveillance architecture" where every wallet is treated as a surveillance node and every transaction as a reportable event. he literally called it a "financial panopticon." and this isnt some privacy maxi saying it, its the regulator himself. meanwhile Gartner expects that by 2026 half of all blockchain based transactions will have built-in privacy features. so yeah, not niche demand. thats where the infra is heading privacy = selective disclosure ppl mix up privacy with <hiding everything> but its really just about being selective best analogy is everyday life. when u pay with a credit card or a bank transfer the merchant only sees what they need for that transaction. they dont see ur total bank balance, ur other purchases, ur employer, or ur spending history. privacy is the default, disclosure is selective and consent-based. public ledgers do the opposite, they force a tradeoff traditional finance never asked for. to make one payment u have to expose ur entire balance sheet and transaction history. and this is exactly the selective line institutions are leaning into in 2026. a company can pay dozens of employees in stablecoins without broadcasting everyones salary to the world, and still hit its reporting duties by selectively disclosing data to auditors and regulators. public chains adding privacy and institutional natives like Canton are all converging on one model, encrypt the details, keep public verifiability, allow selective disclosure. theres two main ways to do privacy in this space. ZK proof run on math, u prove something is true without showing whats behind it. a TEE moves the work to hardware, encryption happens inside the processor in an isolated region. @SeismicSys went with the second route. its EVM compatible, written in Solidity, so everything a dev already knows stays the same. the only thing that changes is the users data is invisible by default. the institutional side of this is getting stronger too. Grayscale's 2026 list includes a privacy enabled institutional blockchain like Canton Network, built for regulated financial institutions to do confidential, secure settlement, and its picking up traction with traditional players for tokenized RWA. a16z Crypto also described privacy as a core pillar of crypto's next phase, arguing that as blockchains scale into regulated environments the demand for privacy intensifies instead of fading. so a16z backing Seismic isnt really a coincidence

a four-year-old bug in Zcash’s Orchard pool almost broke one of privacy crypto’s most important guarantees here’s what actually happened: security researcher Taylor Hornby - using an AI model - - found a critical vulnerability in Zcash’s zero-knowledge proof circuit the flaw could have allowed unlimited counterfeit ZEC to be minted inside the shielded pool, completely undetected. it existed since May 2022 top cryptographers worldwide missed it for four years. the team moved fast. emergency hard fork June 2. no evidence of exploitation no unauthorized value created. technically, a clean response but here’s the uncomfortable part privacy maximalists dont want to agree on because of Orchard’s privacy properties, it is cryptographically impossible to prove the bug was never exploited the same privacy that protects users from surveillance makes supply integrity impossible to audit retroactively thats far away from a patch problem its an architectural tension baked into the design. ZEC dropped 45% now connect this to what Kohaku is building - the EF’s privacy SDK embedding protocols like Railgun, Tornado Cash, and Privacy Pools directly into wallets the thesis is right privacy infrastructure needs to be default, not optional. but this week proved that privacy infrastructure also needs to be auditable, upgradeable, and honest about its tradeoffs the strongest version of privacy is not just “nobody can see your transactions.” its “nobody can see your transactions AND the system can prove its own integrity.” Zcash is now building toward that with turnstile accounting. Kohaku’s SDK needs to hold the same standard the cypherpunk vision is right. infrastructure has to earn.

"Eli Ben-Sasson – CEO of StarkWare and co-founder of Zcash – just confirmed: Zcash handled a critical security vulnerability with professionalism thanks to Ironwood (formal verification of the Orchard circuit). Starknet has led this technology for over 5 years, with complete mathematical proofs ensuring the entire Cairo VM has zero missing constraints. This is how you build a truly future-proof blockchain."

The @Zcash bug leads to Ironwood, formal verification of the Orchard payment circuit. I love and support it. I also want to stress that @Starknet has been doing that -- formal verification -- for over 5 years. It's important to support great projects like Zcash for reacting quickly, as in this case. It’s also important to recognize projects that are future-proof and ahead of the curve, like Starknet. (Details in the article below) I’ve said often that Starknet is that system which already has the stuff other chains claim they soon will. It's been true for many things. We've been at the vanguard of many unpopular choices that now everyone recognizes are important, including post-quantum secure ZK-STARKs as the best scaling and privacy solution, lean zkVMs (Cairo is best), Validium data availability, and formal verification. Formal verification means that you use automated tools like the Lean system to mathematically prove that your code is safe. It's very hard to capture each and every aspect of what it m
