I've written about this in the past.
TLDR: platforms like TRM are the on-chain equivalent of a credit bureau. This company decides if you are a good guy or a bad guy.
Except consumers have no right to see what's in their "credit report" or to even contest an inaccurate flag.
Your ability to transact in DeFi is not some permissionless inherent right. It comes with gatekeepers.
I appreciate Orca being transparent about this. Most major DeFi protocols are using TRM or similar services and not all as as transparent about it.
