It's always funny when people say $ICP holders are pushing conspiracy theories by claiming #InternetComputer gets ignored by mainstream (paid) media and influencers.

In 2024, UNDP didn't just invite DFINITY/ICP to join an advisory group. It selected DFINITY as a partner to develop and implement Universal Trusted Credentials on #InternetComputer.

Then, in 2026, UNDP launched a Blockchain Advisory Group consisting of 26 organizations, not just the 7 mentioned by @Cointelegraph.

Yet when @Cointelegraph promoted the initiative, #ICP somehow didn't make the cut.

Think about that for a second.

In 2024, ICP was already building solutions with UNDP.

In 2026, when the same organization announced a 26-member advisory group, the project actually implementing technology with UNDP was omitted from the coverage.

Apparently, helping UNDP build real-world infrastructure is less newsworthy than being good at getting mentioned.

ZK is extremely expensive and slow because every computation must be converted into a cryptographic proof.

In practice, this requires large amounts of offchain computation, prover infrastructure, and hardware just to prove a result is correct.

ICP achieves the same goal differently.

OFFCHAIN
• ZK: Execute → Generate proof → Verify proof

ONCHAIN
• ICP: Execute → Consensus → Threshold sign result

ZK proves computation happened somewhere else.
ICP performs the computation directly onchain and lets anyone verify the result using single public key.

The real difference is cost and speed. We're talking about ZK systems that are 1,000x-10,000x more expensive than ICP, while also adding a proof-generation step that can make execution 100x-1,000,000x slower than native computation.

ZK is being heavily pushed because blockchains were never designed for computation beyond token interactions.
