Bittensor (TAO)

I love these updates from @theminos_ai (SN107) quiet but important network updates. I would seriously look into this $TAO subnet, @centrum_blue is singular, I have many conversations and I am always impressed. Just look at this ⬇️ 37,000+ variant-calling evaluations in 11 days. Conventional lab equivalent: 65 days. ~6x faster, +10.21% accuracy gain across submissions. More importantly top miners are converging around GATK configs. Hyperparameter space is saturating. That’s the precondition for Phase 2. Custom algorithms. Miners submitting their own variant-calling IP, not just configurations. The network stops being a leaderboard and starts being a research engine. Phase 2 hasn’t launched yet. When it does, pay attention.

Good question. I have some still. But it has some truly fundamental flaws in my humble opinion. Funnily enough, they’re quite easily solvable but it seems like the whole point is missed, or even disregarded. I went fairly heavy at first in the early runup, but after the recent sn debacle I understood how much misalignment and constant drama keeps coming out of it. For as decentralized as it all claims to be, it’s also really not much at all. Wich is not a cardinal sin necessarily for a project like that, but then it should really be much easier to solve for my last point. The main one. Because more importantly - and this is less of a tangible I’m aware - but there’s that almost snooty “too good for thy” disregard for front facing normie frindliness. Lack of onboarding capabilities, almost disdain of. There’s no decent bridge, very little interoperability. Heck, I am deeeep into crypto, and fairly connected but even with the help of absolutely lovely people like @MaxScore from Sire/Sn44 - who’s projects I hold - and @adamsternbach who’s always been incredibly gracious in showing me around, I struggled with some absolute basics: how is there no proper Hardware wallet support other than Ledger, wich has repeatedly shown itself to be dangerously leaking people’s data? I could go on for hours and hours on all the little things that could be easily fixed and just tell me: not ready. And there’s a poin where “still early” starts to turn into Cosmos vibes - another ecosystem that I loved but ivory towered itself into oblivioun and irrelevance. Cause the whole point here is adoption. You do need users. You do need interoperability. You need good decentralized onboarding solutions: I don’t want to use a fucking cex in 2026! Unironically, you probably need a good degen who’s deep in the day to day of things, someone like me lol. A director of vibes of sorts with technical DeFi and architectural expertise and a good understanding of what actually good comms look like for the few crazies left here that still deeply care, and to onboard the next wave. The potential is so clearly massive - I hold both some Tao and some subnets fir that moonshot - that I actually would be happy to take some sort of short term advisory position for the first time in 5 years and help out @TAO_dot_com, I bet all I’d need is a short 3 months and willing years. I’m not cheap though…

So true, $TAO @CryptoZPunisher is right: the ETF is past rumors. It's a step-change. The bottleneck was never the tech. It's the access. The bridge between Wall Street and bittensor:native. The point is this is very different from most other crypto assets. Most are single products or narratives. $TAO is the settlement and ownership layer for an entire decentralized AI economy that looks and defines itself like a collection of real, competing businesses. A Wallstreet wet dream. @Grayscale and @Bitwise both filed on NYSE Arca, decision August 2026. Grayscale already made $TAO 43% of its AI fund. Now, the massive COLLISION coming: That demand meets a fixed 21M supply, two-thirds staked, thin float. And you're not buying JUST A COIN you're buying a regulated claim on the ROOT ASSEST under 128 subnets companies of decentralized AI. The bridge between Wall Street and the network is what's been missing. August is possibly when it could open. The listing gets all the attention. But the redemption/arbitrage mechanism is what makes the ETF actually work properly and stay tied to real $TAO. This is why spot ETFs are such a big deal for assets like Bitcoin and now $TAO they bring in serious institutional money while staying grounded in the real asset. $TAO DYOR
