🧠ZK Technology for Dummies "Episode 15" Remember Episode 2? ZK proofs = math that doesn't lie. But here's the thing nobody talked about back then: Generating that math is expensive. And slow. And requires a lot of hardware. That was the hidden problem. Until Airbender. 🔹What is Airbender? It's ZKsync's proof generation system. Launched in June 2025 at the Permissionless conference. In simple terms: Before Airbender, generating a ZK proof was like running a marathon. Lots of machines. Lots of time. Lots of cost. After Airbender? It's a sprint. On a single GPU. 🔹The numbers for dummies like me: 6x faster than competing zkVMs. Full ZKsync block proof in under 1 second. Full Ethereum block proof in under 35 seconds. On a single GPU. And the cost? Around $0.0001 per transfer. More than 10x cheaper than ZKsync's previous system. Before, you needed a farm of 50-160 GPUs to do this. Now? One is enough. 🔹Why does this matter? Because ZK proofs are the heartbeat of everything ZKsync does. Every transaction. Every Prividium deployment. Every cross-chain interop call. All of them need a proof. Faster proofs = faster finality. Cheaper proofs = cheaper transactions. Airbender is already live on mainnet, powering all new ZKsync chains. This isn't coming soon. It's already running underneath everything. 🔹And where is it going? The 2026 roadmap aims to take Airbender beyond ZKsync. The goal: become a universal standard for ZK proving across Ethereum and beyond. Not just ZKsync's engine. Ethereum's engine. 🔹Simple summary for dummies like me: ZK proofs are powerful. But they used to be slow and expensive to generate. @zksync built Airbender to fix that. Faster. Cheaper. One GPU. The math still doesn't lie. Now it just runs faster. ⚡

Community sentiment is much important on any airdrops! People eventually loose patience and that project goes down bad. They promise everything and give nothing to users. This happened with $ZK $LINEA $ZRO $SCR $STRK I hope this wont happen to us again!

There has been a lot of discussion on the @zksync governance forum around the proposed 2026 Prividium funding plan. My forum account is still awaiting approval, so I'll share my thoughts here. First, since the proposal was published on June 1, $ZK is down ~25%. While some may point to market conditions, ZK has also underperformed both ETH (-10%) and STRK (-15%) over the same period. It's difficult to ignore the market's reaction to the proposal itself (and that's before voting has even started, let alone implementation). Second, it's clear there is currently no sustainable bid for ZK in the open market. Promising future utility is not the same as delivering it. Crypto markets have stopped pricing in promises a long time ago. With that in mind, I believe @the_matter_labs @gluk64 should consider alternative funding approaches for Prividium 2026: 1/ Delay this proposal until the new features are live on mainnet and protocol revenue buybacks create a sustainable source of demand for $ZK. Deliver utility and value to holders first, then fund development from a stronger position. 2/ If funding is urgently needed, consider OTC deals with transparent terms (e.g. 6+ month lockups), or bring in a strategic investor willing to make a long-term bet on institutional adoption of Prividium. Matter Labs should be the first to send a clear signal that it is committed to growing token value, not just treating the token as a source of funding.

Funny enough, our session happened right after the TripleS concert. First, I was not sure if people were ready to go from concert mode straight into serious institutional digital assets mode. Many people in crypto want “everything should be transparent onchain.” It sounds idealistic, but once you get to the level of banks, custodians, fintechs, or real financial institutions, the problem changes. They cannot possibly store all sensitive data on a public ledger. Imagine data such as: - counterparty transactions - internal balance - fund flow - liquidity position - transactions between business units - customer/partner data If all that were opened to the public, it would be more than “transparency” – it would be full exposure, which could become a compliance risk, a business risk, even a security risk. This is often missed in crypto conversations. We too often assume transparency = everyone must be able to see everything. In fact, for institutions, the important thing is not to publish all raw data to the internet, but to be able to prove that the process and results are valid. Here, Prividium from @zksync is interesting. Its approach is not just a “closed private chain,” but more like: Sensitive data stays within their own enterprise infrastructure, while the correctness of transactions and their outcomes can be proven using ZK proofs. Thus the raw data doesn’t need to leave, but the results can still be verified.
