The original privacy coin runs entirely on narrative and store of value demand. Zero protocol fees and zero DeFi composability. $ZEC: $10.3B market cap. 80.7% from ATH. Post-quantum cryptography upgrade incoming. Grayscale trust volume has already doubled, with $61K in monthly fees at a $10.3B market cap. $NEAR: $3.46B market cap with Confidential Intents live for 12 weeks, and USDC private payments for AI agents live 12 days ago. Confidential cross-chain swaps live 4 days ago. Not a privacy coin, but privacy infrastructure for the agentic economy. $RAIL: $233M market cap. 28.5% from ATH. The only privacy token generating protocol fees, $336K last month, 35% more than Tornado Cash. $94M TVL with every shield and unshield paying the protocol directly. $AZTEC: $77M market cap. 35.4% from ATH. ZK-native privacy on Ethereum. Still pre-launch on the full product. Every privacy token is down 50-99% from its ATH, except the one with actual fee revenue. ZEC is 44x RAIL's market cap and generates none of the fees. The rotation from narrative to revenue hasn't started yet.

    If you actually care about privacy (I personally don't) and not just being round 2 exit liquidity of a tier 1 KOL pump and dump, then you'd be buying Monero (to actually use) and laughing about Zcash in your Threema group chats. It's easy to verify simply by polling the Darknet.
