A rough answer to the question of which sectors need attention in the memecoin space and why memecoins exist during a potential #altcoin rally.

In a potential #altcoin rally, the "memecoin" sector is one of the industries we are curious about again. Looking at on-chain data, we see that even in previous cycles, when "capital from zero" was distributed to crypto, about 25%–40% of the amount moved into the memecoin sector. The fundamental reason is the inflation cycle present in all projects that emerged in recent times. Today we discussed $MON under a friend's post. The biggest advantage of the memecoin sector is zero inflation. Yes, this sector does not produce technology nor creates any serious projects, but its community structure, transparent supply distribution, and zero inflation make it a very serious arena. Because there is no inflation, there is no issue of any lock‑up unlocking. Of course, this sector is extremely risky; random purchases will zero out your capital. There are certain points that must be examined when researching projects that can be taken in this sector. -Who is the team? Have they done a project before? Are they scammers? -Are there large exchanges behind them?

MEME coins have zero inflation but extremely high risk, beware of capital evaporation.

While #Monad’s TVL continues to climb and #adoption remains strong, more than 7 billion monad:native tokens are set to enter circulation over the next year. #Traders are watching the $0.016 support level closely, while a breakout above $0.028 could reignite momentum toward previous highs. 🔗 Know more in comments

Monad has both inflation and deflation built into the blockchain new MON is minted to reward validators and stakers for securing the network at the same time base transaction fees are permanently burned security gets rewarded network activity reduces supply pretty simple

MON achieves supply‑demand balance by rewarding minted coins and burning transaction fees.

tldr: @monad would need ~50x its current network activity to reach neutral emissions Monad has 2% annual inflation on its 100B supply: 2B $MON minted per year through block rewards (25 MON/block). It offsets this with a deflationary burn: every transaction's base fee is permanently destroyed (validators keep only the priority fee). Here's where actual inflation stands today (source @Blockworks) – Gross issuance: ~5.2M MON/day – Daily burn: ~100–130k MON/day (127.5k on 31 May) So burn currently offsets only ~2% of issuance. To reach neutral emissions, burn has to go from ~2% of issuance to 100%, roughly 50x. For context: Monad is running ~24 TPS and ~10 MGas/s today. A 50x gets you to 1,200 TPS and 500 MGas/s. Based on docs, 500 MGas/s is Monad's stated gas ceiling. Neutral emissions would require running the chain at maximum capacity, continuously. This is very theoritical because the 50x assumes a constant base fee. As activity approaches the gas limit, EIP-1559-style base fees rise, so each unit of gas burns more MON. That could pull neutral somewhat closer than a literal 50x, but higher fees also suppress demand for blockspace, so it's hard to predict with accuracy here. Current net inflation: 1.9% (fixed issuance 2B Monad/per year − current burn)

Quick question for the Monad brains Wasn’t $MON supposed to have a total supply of 100B? Noticed supply is now showing 100.68B, meaning around 680M $MON has been added. Is this expected, a dashboard issue, staking-related, or something else? Genuinely curious. @keoneHD https://t.co/IhK51tbVd4

The Monad token MON faces high inflation, requiring 50× activity to offset, and its total supply has unexpectedly increased.

The author sarcastically labels MON and MEGA as the “kings” among recently launched public chains, noting that they still suffered a 60‑80% shrinkage.
